Would it be terrible to pull a chunk of money from a mutual fund now while I'm job hunting after college?
I just finished an internship, and am struggling to make ends meet as a barista at starbucks while I look for a "real" job. I have a mutual fund, but I’m hesitant to pull anything from it- so I’m living like I’m completely poor right now and barely scraping by. Is this stupid? Or am I right to leave the fund alone?

Yes leave it unless absolutely necessary to pay rent. Once you start hitting it up for every day expenses it gets easier and easier to cash in the funds. Before you know it you are down to zero

You don’t want to touch it! Instead, get a second job or just adjust your budget to accommodate your current salary. Yes it sucks being poor, but that’s life. You’re going going to be poor forever.
If you really need it then take it. Make sure you’ve got a plan to meet your goals though. Dont just keep existing as you are because sooner or later its going to run out and you’re still going to be in the same position if you dont put it to good use. If you cant then taking it out probably isnt the solution. You may have to pay taxes on it though.
