Which bank provides the best Money Market Accounts?

I’m looking into opening a Money Market Account. I hear they have good interest rates and they’re FDIC insured, and its pretty easy to take money from and deposit into the account.

I saw that Nationwide has 3.52% APY on their Money Market Accounts right now. But I heard people complain about Nationwide’s ACH system. What exactly is the ACH system, and why does it matter?

Which bank should I go with for a money market account? Which one has the best service and interest rates? Should I just go with Nationwide?

Can you wire money from a swiss bank account to a regular money market account in the USA?

I’m asking this because I learned that the Swiss govt. taxes U.S. residents 35% if they invest in U.S. securities from the swiss bank account. But, could you avoid this by wiring the money to a U.S. money market account and then invest in securities?

I heard banks in China and India are offering 8-10% rate of interest. Can we (non Indian/chinese citizens) invest in Banks there? Other than currency risks – is there anything else I should check up on?

Is now a good time to invest in index mutual funds?

The stock market has been crushed over the past couple of months. Is now a good time to invest in index mutual funds if I am willing to hold them for 10 years? Is it worth it or would I be better of putting them into CD’s at 5% interest over 5 years?

I have a decent amount of cash in a money market account making 3.5%…I wonder if I should invest this into the market.

Any comments or advice would be appreciated

I got a 0% apr for the first 12 months credit card. I’m looking to make a little money by maxing the card out and putting it into a high yielding CD or money market account and paying off the debt and keeping the interest earned. Which of the 2 do you recommend? Should I try anything different?
