Should i put my money in a money-market saving or brokerage account?

I am planning to save up about 300k to buy a house in the next 2 years. Right now i have about 50k total that i’ll continue to contribute to save.
Should i put my money in a money-market saving like HSBC/ING Direct or put my money in bonds and CDs in a brokerage account?

What’s the best account for me??

Question about federal limits on savings/money market accounts?

I believe the limit is 6 outgoing transactions per month, for savings and money market, via telephone or electronically (other than at the counter).
Would using my online banking log-in to transfer from savings 1 (linked to paypal) to savings 2 (for safekeeping) be limited?

When will I get taxed on my money market IRA?

I just opened a money market IRA. I rolled about ,500 from my 401K into my new IRA. Since that money was pre-taxed, and any money that I put in from now on will be post tax..when will my ,500 be taxed? And will I have to pay that out of pocket, or will it come out of the money I put in my IRA?

Does the yield on a money market fund account for the fund expenses?

In other words, when I compare the interest rate on my high yield savings account to the yield on a money market, should I first subtract the money market’s expense ratio from its yield?

Is a money market IRA considered a traditional or Roth IRA?

I have a money market IRA that was converted from a Roth IRA over 2 years ago. I didn’t like the rate I was getting in the Roth and converted to the money market, but now I am unhappy with the return I am getting on the money market IRA. Is my money market IRA considered a traditional IRA? I’m 27 and would like to withdraw approximately 3,000 for something that would not qualify under any of the exceptions. Will I end up paying the 10% early withdrawal fee and will the 3000 be considered income?

Where can I get a high interest savings, checking or money market account?

I want as high as I can get. I saw a company called Everbank that offered about 2% for the first year. Is Everbank a legitimate company? I don’t want anyone stealing my money, and I am not very trusting. Should I just get a money market with Everbank? Is there any other legitimate company with no risk that has a higher APY?

Thanks

Is ING money market account insured by FDIC?

I can’t seem to find a straight answer from their website. I have money invested in ING Direct money market and afraid i might lose money sooner or later. Should I take it out?
I found out their mutual funds aren’t actually insured by FDIC, only their CD’s and Savings accounts are.
