Good index funds? Looking for both US S&P500 and MSCI EAFE.?
Any good recommendations for me? My net worth isn’t sky-high so they would need somewhat low minimum investments of maybe 00 or so. I’m thinking of replacing my more expensive managed international and local growth funds with them.
Anything I should consider before making the move? I’ve noticed my managed funds, even when beating the indexes, tend to be either even or below when factoring in expense ratios. So, I figured why not just go with the index.
Is there a list of major funds somewhere with the expense ratios? I figure the only major differential between them would be those ratios.

When buying mutual funds, what are the most important aspects to look at?
Okay, I’m new to investing in funds.
I know a bit here or there, but I’m still learning. I don’t know enough to trust myself jumping into anything yet.
What I’m looking for is long-term stuff, like something for retirement. I’m 22 now so I guess it’s a great time to start.
What is the top parameters I should look for when browsing mutual funds? Like when browsing MorningStar I see NAV and Expense Ratios (I know what they are) but how do I know what is more important? Also, once I know what is important, how do I know if it’s good. I figured you probably want a low expense ratio, but what would you consider "low"?
I guess I just wanna know what to look for in numbers.

Why are mutual fund companies with high expenses still around?
I’ve noticed that there are numerous, numerous mutual fund companies that have funds with expense ratios exceeding 2, 3, and even 4 percent. With fund companies like Vanguard and Fidelity offering funds with expeses that are a fraction of that, why are people still investing in high-expense funds?
